Where to get the Moderna & Pfizer Vaccine

So there's obviously alot going on right now in the way of the vaccine distribution. The rollout itself hasn't been the greatest and we just found out the the current administration most likely lied about there being some big vaccine reserve. That news is pretty gross considering what it means if that reserve isn't there. It means that all the first round of vaccines that were administered with it in mind that they'd be getting the second doses soon might just be useless by the time they get them. The thought of that reserve being a lie is and possibly wasting all of those first doses is just awful.

So even with the rollout and reserve issues being what they are, we're all still going to be able to get the vaccine at some point, and most likely soon. This brings the question of where. I've been getting emailed by my primary care about what age group they're doing (currently on 65-year-old and up) and they say I can just go up to my local one when it's my turn. But is that the only place I'll be able to get the vaccine? Is there any word of being able to get it somewhere else? I've seen that there should soon be drive-up vaccine places popping up all over the place and NFL and MLB stadiums being converted into mass vaccine distribution centers. Anyone have any word on this?

Pharmacies will play a big role in administering vaccines. CVS and Walgreens will be the biggest. Here's a list of pharmacies and supercenters on board:

    • Albertsons
    • CVS
    • HEB
    • Hy-Vee
    • Rite Aid
    • Target
    • Walgreens
    • Costco
    • Kroger
    • Walmart
    • Winn-Dixie
    • Tom Thumb

Also I think this is a great resource - VaccineFinder.org. Its a way to find all the options for getting vaccines locally. Best part is the website requires providers to report to them their supply on a daily basis. So I would bookmark this one and when the time comes you should be able to see all your options pretty clearly. That's what I plan to do.

Thanks for the list and the link. Hopefully the rollout gets better and the amount of vaccine administration picks up soon. This should obviously be the top priority right now.

Looks like their actually setting up a vaccine site right down the street from my house. I'm not sure exactly how the process is going to go, but the facility is popping right up. Kind of looks like a big warehouse at the moment. I spoke with the people at the walgreens store right next to it and they said it should be up and running in just a few weeks. Hopefully these things are gonna start popping up everywhere.
