Now that there are a lot more doses available, we should prioritize teachers next so that kids can go back to school. It's a big issue in most every city when it is safe for teachers and students to go back to school. And there is a lot of talk of the psychological impact remote learning is having on students in all grades even college too.

I 100% agree. This seems like a no-brainer to me. Get all the teachers their doses so that they can safely get back in the classroom. It's strange to me that this isn't the plan for all schools as of now. Lets hope that changes soon.

I certainly agree. Kids need to be in school for a myriad of reasons, but mainly because face-to-face interaction with peers and teachers is a major part of childhood development. I can't imagine how difficult it has been for both teachers and students alike this past year. Getting them back in the classroom should be priority #1 right now.

At least the CDC considers teachers frontline essential workers. I know some teachers are still very leery of going back to school but I do think it's important every teacher that is willing get vaccinated get one easily as a high priority.

The CDC also just lowered the recommended space between kids in school from 6 feet to 3 feet, allowing schools more occupancy at the same time, making teachers' need to get a shot even higher in my opinion.

Yep, I'm so happy this is a thing now. My mother in-law is a teacher and just got her first and second shot because of this. Very grateful.
