Is it unethical to travel to get the vaccine?

    The vaccine rollout in my area has been haphazard at best, but I recently found out that I can get my vaccine a in a town a few hours away without any issues or questions at all. I know more shots are becoming available by the day and I want to make sure everyone who needs to get their shot gets one, but I'm currently eligible to get my shot and am struggling with whether I should travel to get my shot.

    What do you think? Is it ok to travel to get a shot or should I wait to get it in my hometown?

    I don't think it's unethical at all. If they are letting everyone get the vaccine in that area without many regulations at all, then they're probably not running too low on it or they have plenty to go around. I say go for it.

    I don't think it is. My wife drove to another state to get hers. As long as they have a steady supply - I think we should emphasize getting as many people vaccinated as possible. So I don't see anything wrong in you travelling to get it.

    Same here. I say go for it. If it were me I'd just make sure there's no issues with their quantity first. I don't know how you'd do that, but it's worth a try to make you feel better.

    If you are willing to travel outside your city to get a shot and they have some, especially if they have a surplus because others refuse to take it, then by all means do it.

    Thankfully this won't be an issue very soon. Looks like all states will have a surplus of vaccines soon!
